Arizona seeking to host 2013 Super Bowl
Bob Sullivan, Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee president, says his state has the advantages necessary to land the 2013 Super Bowl.
Sullivan said with his state enjoying successes in hosting the Super Bowl in both 1996 and 2008, he should have no problem selling the its amenities to NFL officials in pursuit of 2013 Super Bowl hosting duties, The Arizona Republic said Sunday.
This is a sure thing out here, Sullivan said.
We don’t have any wild cards.
Arizona is a front-runner for the 2013 Super Bowl along with Miami and New Orleans.
The Republic said Arizona is scheduled to make its official pitch Tuesday.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has applauded Arizona Cardinals owner Bill Bidwell’s tenacious marketing for additional Super Bowl hosting duties, saying he could easily see Arizona hosting additional NFL championships in the future.
