LAX: Syracuse 17, Duke 7
Kenny Nams and Patrick Perritt both scored four goals, leading Syracuse to a 17-7 rout of Duke at the NCAA lacrosse semifinals in Foxborough, Mass.
The defending champions scored four times in both the first and second periods to build an 8-4 halftime lead, then ended any Duke hopes of coming back with a six-goal third to lead 14-6 entering the fourth.
Goalkeeper John Galloway was credited with 11 saves for the Orange, who advanced to the NCAA Championship game Monday for the 16th time.
With the victory, they rose to 15-2 and their eighth straight win ended Duke's string of nine straight wins.
Syracuse improved to 17-10 in NCAA semifinals and is 60-18 in the post-season.
The Orange plays either Cornell or Virginia for the title.
The Blue Devils (15-4) were led by Max Quinzani's three goals with one assist and three goals from Zach Howell.
