Exodus Tyson dies
Exodus Tyson, the 4-year-old daughter of retired boxer Mike Tyson who strangled herself accidentally, was pronounced dead Tuesday, Phoenix police said.
The girl had been on life support at a Phoenix hospital since being found with a treadmill cord wrapped around her neck Monday in an exercise room in the family’s home Monday.
I was just advised by investigators that Exodus Tyson was pronounced deceased at 11:45 a.m. today at the hospital,
a spokesperson for the Phoenix Police Department told Usmagazine.com in a statement. Our sympathies go out to the family.
Fox News reported Exodus was found by her 7-year-old brother, who alerted their mother, who was cleaning in another room, Usmagazine.com said. Police described it as a tragic accident.
Tyson, 42, a former world heavyweight boxing champion, was in Las Vegas when the accident happened and returned to Phoenix immediately upon learning what happened.
