Mosley wants to fight Pacquiao

WBA welterweight boxing champion Shane Mosley has refuted claims he is ducking IBO light welterweight champ Manny Pacquiao.

A Mosley-Pacquiao bout could command the largest gate in boxing this year, boxing analysts say.

The 30-year-old Pacquiao, called one of the world's best ever pound-for-pound fighters, floored former IBO light welterweight champ Ricky Hatton three times when they fought in Las Vegas May 3.

There are conflicting reports from the Pacquiao camp an upcoming fight between me and Manny Pacquiao, Mosley said in a statement on his Web site. I want it to be known that I want to fight Pacquiao and I want to fight him now. I'm willing to meet at a catch weight to make that happen. I know this is what (promoter) Freddie Roach wants as well, as he has previously stated this to press. I am the best fighter in boxing and I am ready to reclaim the title of number one pound-for-pound fighter.
