Garrett Atkins hit two of Colorado’s four home runs Thursday and the Rockies produced a 14-hit attack that sent them rolling over Houston 10-3.

Colorado halted a four-game losing streak, winning for the first time since the Rockies had captured their first two contests under interim Manager Jim Tracy.

Atkins hit a two-run homer during a four-run third and added a solo shot in the fifth. Colorado also got solo homers from Ryan Spilborghs in the fourth and Brad Hawpe in the fifth.

All four homers came off Wandy Rodriguez (5-5), who surrendered 10 hits in a five-inning stint. Rodriguez entered the game with a 2.26 earned run average.

The offensive outburst made a winner out of Jason Hammel (2-3), who allowed two runs on four hits in seven innings.

Houston’s Miguel Tejada had a 17-game hitting streak snapped while going 0-for-5.
