Josh Fields hit a solo home run Saturday to help the Chicago White Sox post a 4-2 victory over the Cleveland Indians.
Josh Floyd (4-5) earned the win, allowing two runs — one earned — on five hits with a walk and seven strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings. Bobby Jenks earned his 13th save of the season with a scoreless ninth.
Scott Podsednik was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored and Paul Konerko had an RBI and a run scored for the White Sox, who had lost their previous four games and were shut out in three of those.
Jamey Carroll and Mark DeRosa each went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Indians, who have lost four of six.
Jeremy Sowers (1-3) suffered the loss after allowing three runs on five hits.
