Clint Barmes hit a key two-run homer Thursday to help the Colorado Rockies capture a 4-3 inter-league victory against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Barmes had two hits and the two-run homer gave Colorado a 2-1 lead with two outs in the bottom of the third. Todd Helton followed with a solo shot, his lone hit in the game.

Carlos Gonzalez had one hit, a fourth-inning solo shot, and winning pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez had a hit for the Rockies, who have won 13 of their last 14 games.

Jimenez (6-6) yielded an earned run and six hits in 6 2/3 innings with three walks and seven strikeouts.

Closer Huston Street earned his 15th save despite giving up two runs and three hits in the ninth.

Tampa Bay’s Ben Zobrist hit a two-run ninth-inning single. Dioner Navarro had two hits and one RBI for the Rays, who have lost two straight.
