A 10th-inning RBI single by Kevin Kouzmanoff Thursday boosted the San Diego Padres to a 4-3 inter-league win over the Seattle Mariners.


Thursday’s victory ended San Diego’s record 13 straight inter-league losing streak.


Kouzmanoff’s only hit snapped a 3-3 tie with two outs in the bottom of the 10th.


Adrian Gonzalez had four hits and two RBI, while David Eckstein had three hits and one RBI for the Padres, who had lost 10 straight to the Mariners in San Diego.


The winner was Heath Bell (3-1) after two scoreless relief innings.


San Diego starter Josh Geer surrendered three runs and six hits in six innings with no walks and six strikeouts.


Seattle’s Franklin Gutierrez hit two solo homers. Ken Griffey Jr. had two hits and one RBI for the Mariners, who have split their last four contests.


The losing pitcher was Miguel Batista (3-2).


Seattle starter Brandon Morrow yielded two runs and five hits in four innings with six strikeouts.
