Vettel easily wins British Grand Prix

Pole winner Sebastien Vettel drove his Renault to an easy win Sunday in the Formula One British Grand Prix in Silverstone, England.

It was his third career F1 victory.

He relinquished the lead one time during his final pit stop and beat Red Bull racing teammate Mark Webber to the checkered flag by 15.188 seconds.

I had a fantastic car, and it was unbelievable, the 21-year-old Vettel said. I was able to push more and more, and the tires were very consistent.

He was the youngest F1 winner ever at the Italian Grand Prix last September.

Rubens Barrichello (Brawn GP Mercedes), Felipe Massa (Ferrari) and Nico Rosberg (Williams Toyota) rounded out the top-5 finishers.

Despite a season-worst sixth-place finish, leader Jenson Button (Brawn GP Mercedes), a six-time winner this season, holds a 64-41 lead over Barrichello in the latest F1 standings.

Vettel (39), Webber (35.5) and Toyota's Jarno Trulli (21.5) complete the top-5 in the updated standings.
