MLB: Florida 11, Baltimore 3

Homers by Cody Ross, Dan Uggla and Hanley Ramirez accounted for eight runs Thursday and sent the Florida Marlins romping past Baltimore 11-3.

Ross opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the second and Uggla had a two-run blast as part of a three-run third. Ramirez contributed a grand slam during a five-run eighth.

The Marlins finished with 17 hits.

Sean West (3-2) threw six shutout innings, allowing five hits. All of Baltimore's runs came in the ninth off Chris Leroux.

Rich Hill (3-2) was roughed up for six runs on eight hits over 4 1/3.
