Hollywood Park given full accreditation
The Hollywood Park horse racing course in Inglewood, Calif., has been given full accreditation by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association.
The decision was made after a complete review of all racing operations by the NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance.
The NTRA said in a release Friday full accreditation was the culmination of a lengthy certification process that started with the track’s completion of a 48-page written application and continued while Hollywood Park hosted several meetings with Alliance officials.
Hollywood Park was reviewed on May 20-21 during its current meeting,
NTRA Executive Director of Safety and Integrity Alliance Mike Ziegler said. The inspection went very smoothly, with Hollywood exceeding recommended Alliance benchmarks in several areas.
The safety of our athletes — both equine and human — is of the utmost importance to everyone at Hollywood Park,
Jack Liebau, Hollywood Park’s president, said. We take great pride in providing the safest conditions possible.
Hollywood Park is the fifth course receiving NTRA accreditation since May.
