Jarrod Saltalamacchia’s two-run homer in the seventh inning Sunday snapped a tie and delivered the Texas Rangers a 4-2 win over Seattle.
The Rangers got solo homers from David Murphy in the first and Michael Young in the sixth.
Seattle scored two runs in the sixth — one on a bases-loaded ground out by Russell Branyan and the second on a single by Jose Lopez.
Starter Scott Feldman (10-4) went seven innings, giving up two runs on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts for the Rangers, who took three out of four from the Mariners in the weekend series and have won nine of 13 against Seattle this season.
C.J. Wilson allowed one hit in one inning of relief to get his 13th save.
Ian Snell, who just came to the Mariners from Pittsburgh, went six innings, allowing two runs on three hits with four strikeouts and three walks.
Sean White (2-2) served up the game-winning homer run to take the loss.
Ichiro Suzuki also had two hits for Seattle, which lost for the seventh time in its last 10 games.
