Report: Atlanta’s Roddy White ends holdout

Star Falcons wide receiver Roddy White has ended a training camp holdout by signing a contract extension, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

No terms were available, but recent media reports said he wanted a deal similar to the $10 million-a-year contract given Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals.

We're glad to get this contract situation resolved and we look forward to a long association with Roddy, Atlanta General Manager Thomas Dimitroff said.

Roddy is extremely happy that this was able to be resolved so that he can rejoin his teammates, his agent, Jonathan Feinsod, said.

White, an Alabama-Birmingham product, earned his first Pro Bowl berth last season after setting a franchise record with 1,382 receiving yards, scoring seven touchdowns with 88 receptions.

Steve Smith of the Carolina Panthers is the NFL's second-highest paid wide receiver behind Fitzgerald.
