Bears: Vick visit ‘nothing to do with us’
A trip to Chicago by ex-football star Michael Vick touched off news reports that he might be visiting with the NFL's Bears, but the team said that wasn't so.
Vick, who was released from prison in July after serving time for a dogfighting conviction, may have been in Chicago to meet with officials of the Humane Society of the United States, various reports said.
It's nothing do do with us, Bears spokesman Scott Hagel said Wednesday in a report in USA Today.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said last month that Vick could play again in the league -- under certain conditions.
