NFL: Houston 16, Kansas City 10
Matt Schaub and Dan Orlovsky paced the Houston offense Saturday when the Texans beat the Kansas City Chiefs 16-10.
Schaub, playing the first quarter, completed 7-of-7 passes for 70 yards, and ex-Lion Orlovsky connected on 9-of-20 passes for 121 yards.
Chris Brown ran for 25 yards and a score on six carries. Brown also caught two passes for 22 yards for the Texans. Ryan Moats added 52 yards on 10 carries.
Matt Cassel, who played into the second quarter, completed just 2-of-5 passes for 15 yards in his Kansas City debut after being acquired from New England in the offseason.
Brodie Croyle completed 12-of-18 passes for 145 yards, and Tyler Thigpen connected on 7-of-14 passes for 40 yards, a touchdown and a interception. Thigpen also had 31 rushing yards on three carries for the Chiefs.
