Chone Figgins knocked in two runs for the Angels, who lead the AL West by five games over Texas, a 5-3 loser at Minnesota.

The Angels scored four runs in the fifth inning and five in the eighth.

Losing pitcher Brett Anderson (7-10) gave up four runs in six innings and reliever Jay Marshall was tagged for another five runs in 1 2/3 innings.
