Report: Oudin kicked out of hotel room
September 9, 2009
Rising American teen tennis star Melanie Oudin was kicked out of her New York hotel room, the Sports Business Journal reported Wednesday.
The 19-year-old native of Marietta, Ga. — a quarterfinalist at this year’s U.S Open Tennis Tournament — was booked at the Marriott Times Square through the first week of the tournament and her stay had not been extended past the first week.
Obviously, we will not be sending any of our players back to that hotel,
Oudin’s agent, John Tobias, said after finding his client another hotel.
A Marriott spokesman would not confirm her stay, saying it was possible Oudin had stayed under a different name.
Among her Open victims have been former world No. 1 Maria Sharapova and fourth-ranked Elena Dementieva.
