UCLA suspends four football players

Four UCLA football players have been suspended for unspecified rules violations.

No timetable was disclosed, but the players -- defensive back Courtney Viney, tailback Milton Knox, and wide receivers Randall Carroll and Morrell Presley "“ remain eligible to practice with their teammates.

They will miss at least Saturday's contest against Kansas State at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.

I had to administer the appropriate discipline, Coach Rick Neuheisel told the Los Angeles Times Tuesday. They'll earn their way back into a playing capacity, hopefully following the Kansas State game.

A team source not authorized to give details told the Los Angeles Times the rules violation incident did not occur in Knoxville, where the Bruins (2-0) beat Tennessee 19-15 last Saturday.
