A Trent Edwards touchdown throw and 76-yard pass interception return by Donte Whitner Sunday sent the Buffalo Bills on their way to a 33-20 win over Tampa Bay.

Edwards — who completed 21 of 31 passes for 230 yards — threw a 32-yard scoring pass to Lee Evans early in the first quarter and Whitner struck 5 minutes later with the interception for a TD. A 31-yard Rian Lindell field goal put the Bills ahead 17-0.

Terrell Owens caught Edwards’ other TD toss, scoring on a 43 yard play in the fourth quarter. Lindell ended up with four field goals and Fred Jackson ran for 163 yards for the Bills (1-1).

Byron Leftwich completed passed for 296 yards and three touchdowns for the Buccaneers (0-2).
