NFL: New York Giants 33, Dallas 31
Lawrence Tynes kicked a 37-yard field goal as time expired Sunday to hand the New York Giants a 33-31 win over Dallas.
The field goal that settled the high-scoring affair at the new Cowboys Stadium was set up on a drive that featured two pass completions on third down. It came after Dallas had taken a 31-30 lead on a 7-yard touchdown run by Felix Jones with 3:40 left to play.
Giants quarterback Eli Manning was 25-of-38 passing for 330 yards and two touchdowns.
Mario Manningham and Steve Smith both caught 10 passes and scored a TD. Manningham accounted for 150 yards of offense and Smith amassed 134 yards for the Giants (2-0).
Tony Romo was just 13-of-29 passing for the Cowboys (1-1), who were playing their first regular-season game in their new stadium. Romo threw for 127 yards and one touchdown but was intercepted three times.
Jason Witten caught the TD pass and Marion Barber had a touchdown and 124 yards rushing on 18 carries.
