Ryan Williams rushed for 150 yards and two TDs Saturday to carry 12th-ranked Virginia Tech to a 31-7 rain-soaked win over 13th-ranked Miami (Fla).
Tyrod Taylor passed for 98 yards and a touchdown and ran for 75 yards for the Hokies (3-1, 1-0 ACC), who have won three in a row since a season-opening loss to third-ranked Alabama.
Jacory Harris gained 150 yards on just 9-of-25 completions, was sacked three times and lost a fumble for the Hurricanes (2-1, 2-1).
Javarris James scored Miami’s lone touchdown while gaining 35 yards on 14 rushes. Graig Cooper added 55 yards on the ground on 11 carries.
