COL FB: Nebraska 55, UL-Lafayette 0

Roy Helu Jr. rushed for 83 yards and three touchdowns Saturday to help 24th-ranked Nebraska rout Louisiana-Lafayette 55-0.

This was Nebraska’s third Sun Belt Conference foe after opening the season with a pair of blowout wins over Florida Atlantic (49-3) and Arkansas State (38-9). But the Cornhuskers lost 16-15 last week to nationally ranked Virginia Tech.

Cornhuskers quarterback Zac Lee completed 15-of-18 passes for 238 yards with one touchdown. Curenski Gilleylen had two receptions for 85 yards and Chris Brooks three for 50 yards.

Chris Masson completed 13-of-22 passes for 102 yards and was picked off once for the Ragin Cajuns (2-2).
