The event, which was played at the Saint- Nom-la-Breteche Golf Club, was formerly known as the Seve Trophy, named for for longtime golf star Seve Ballesteros.

Other winners in the final round were Robert Rock for Britain-Ireland and Anders Hansen, Soren Hansen, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Soren Kjeldsen and Francesco Molinari of Continental Europe. Two other matches were halved.
