NFL teams go pink against breast cancer
The NFL players will wear pink cleats, wristbands and other pink equipment this weekend in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
All of the league's 14 games will feature a public service announcement called
Crucial Catch with Fergie, a member of the musical group
Black Eyed Peas reminding football fans of the importance of breast cancer screenings this month.
Between touring, spending time with my family and watching football, I am a busy girl, Fergie said in the PSA while wearing a pink NFL jersey.
I know how important it is to take time for an annual breast cancer screening.
Among prominent players speaking out against the disease are New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees, Minnesota counterpart Brett Favre and Arizona wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.
They also will wear pink helmet decals, while coaches and sideline personnel will wear pink sideline caps.
