Texas Tech quarterback Taylor Potts was hospitalized with a concussion suffered in a weekend game, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reported.
Potts was taken to Covenant Hospital Saturday after he was kept out of the second half of Tech's 48-28 win over New Mexico.
He complained of dizziness at the half.
Steven Sheffield replaced Potts at quarterback and threw three touchdown passes.
We'll go out (this week) and see what happens (regarding Potts's injury),
Coach Mike Leach told reporters.
A hospital spokesman said neither Potts nor cornerback Nathan Stone (possible spinal injury) had been discharged Sunday morning.
Stone left the field at Jones AT&T Stadium on a back board.
He was motionless several minutes after taking a knee to the helmet during a third-quarter kickoff.
No other information on Stone was available.
