Nelson Figueroa’s season-ending complete-game four-hit shutout Sunday led the New York Mets to a 4-0 win at Houston.
His first career shutout capped a three-game sweep.
Figueroa (3-8) threw 113 pitches without a walk and seven strikeouts.
Josh Thole led New York with three hits and one RBI.
Two others had one RBI.
A run scored on a fourth-inning fielder’s choice, while Angel Pagan had four of the nine hits for the Mets, who finished 22 games under the .500 mark (70-92).
Four batters had one hit for the Astros, who lost five of their final six games.
The losing pitcher was starter Wilton Lopez (0-2).
