Red Wings’ Kronwall out for up to eight weeks
September 29, 2005
NEW YORK (Reuters) – Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas
Kronwall could miss six to eight weeks play after injuring
ligaments in his left knee.
“He has some damage,” said general manager Ken Holland on
Wednesday. “He’s going to be examined Friday and we’ll know
more about his status after we get some more opinions.”
Kronwall was injured by Colorado’s Dan Hinote during
Tuesday’s exhibition. The 24-year-old Swede had been expected
to be a key player for the Red Wings this season.
