NEW YORK (Reuters) - Houston Rockets forward Juwan Howard was suspended for one game by the National Basketball Association Saturday for hitting Toronto Raptors Mike James in the face with a basketball.
Howard shoved a basketball in James' face during the Rockets' 112-92 loss to the Raptors at the Air Canada Center Friday night.
NBA Senior Vice President Stu Jackson announced the suspension, which will be served without pay, on Saturday.
Howard will serve the suspension Sunday when the Rockets host the Denver Nuggets.
