More than 35 pct of Turin tickets unsold: organizers

TURIN (Reuters) - Some 370,000 tickets remain unsold for
the Winter Olympics which begin on February 10, organizers said
on Thursday.

Around 630,000 of the 1 million tickets available have been
sold with many of the top events close to being sold out.

"From a budget point of view this is very positive, and
also if we compare it with Greece (host of the 2004 Summer
Olympics) it is going well. But this is a country of the last
minute," said Cesare Vaciago, director general of Turin
organizing committee TOROC, told a news conference.

Vaciago also said that around 3,000 rooms are still
available for visitors.
