Wi-Fi TV Key Part of Event Representing China's Efforts to Open Up Its Vast Digital Media and TV Market to Foreign Companies

Posted on: Thursday, 26 July 2007, 12:24 CDT

Wi-Fi TV Inc. (PINKSHEETS: WTVI) will be a key part of iHollywoodChina and BIRVTV, with founder and Chairman Alex Kanakaris, one of a small and select group of Internet business leaders to speak on a public panel with mass media exposure, a Wi-Fi TV booth to be seen by thousands, and Wi-Fi TV banners to be on display. The events take place August 22-25 in Beijing.

"With nearly 500 million mobile users and 97 million broadband users, China is potentially the world's biggest digital media market. But as always with China, the question is: how to make money. You'll find the answers at iHollywoodChina, the first time the Chinese Government and CCTV (China's largest broadcaster) have partnered with a foreign company to produce a digital media event," states an announcement from iHollywoodChina.

"Wi-Fi TV is entering China as part of our strategic business and marketing plan, and we are honored to be such a big part of this historic undertaking in Beijing," said Lisa Pahl, Director, Wi-Fi TV Inc.

"This provides the unique opportunity to offer leading digital media companies access to this exclusive market and we've developed a custom format to maximize your chance to meet with as many influencers as time allows. Register for iHollywood China, a one-day event produced by iHollywood Forum, and you'll also gain entry to China's own two-day Chinese Digital Media Conference and the Beijing International Radio, TV and Film Exhibition (BIRTV). These events will be simultaneously translated and include delegates from China and abroad for numerous opportunities to network and close deals," according to the official iHollywoodChina web site.

BIRTV is China's version of NAB and it attracts a mostly Chinese audience of 50,000 attendees and 400 exhibitors from all sectors of China's media business. iHollywood China represents China's efforts to open up its vast digital media and TV market to foreign companies.
