Furukawa America Inc. Names Amy L. Miller and Dominic A. Totaro to Fusion Splicer Business Team
Furukawa America Inc. (FAI), a leading supplier of fiber optic and electronics equipment in the Americas, announced today the addition of Amy L. Miller and Dominic A. Totaro to its fusion splicer business team. Miller and Totaro will be based out of FAI’s corporate headquarters in Peachtree City, GA, south of Atlanta.
In her position as Eastern U.S. regional sales manager, Miller will direct end-user sales and manage distributor and manufacturing rep sales channel activity for FAI’s fusion splicer division on the East Coast. “Amy’s expertise in technical sales combined with her dedication to customer service makes her a valuable resource to our clients as we expand our reach in the domestic fiber optic sector,” said Jason Greene, manager of fusion splicer products for FAI.
Miller comes to FAI from Kimberly Clark Corp. where she managed all industrial distribution, business-to-business and end-user sales in Georgia and the Carolinas. Prior to that she held key sales and marketing positions with The Stanley Works, Berendsen Fluid Power and Dana Corp. She earned her bachelor’s of science degree in marketing from Clemson University.
In his position as Western U.S. regional sales engineer, Totaro will be responsible for sales and product support for FAI’s fusion splicer clients in the Western states. With a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Akron, Totaro brings more than a decade of product, materials and manufacturing experience to FAI, having worked for Rockwell Automation, Volvo GM Heavy Truck Assembly and Monitor Manufacturing.
“Fiber optic networks demand precise fiber splicing,” said Greene. “Dominic’s engineering background will provide an additional level of technical review to our client service.”
