Nov. 9--TOKYO -- KDDI Corp. will join forces with Britain's BT Group Plc to offer international data communications services to corporate clients, a Japanese business daily reported Tuesday.
The Nihon Keizai Shimbun said KDDI, a major telecom carrier, will manage BT Group's frame relay, Internet protocol virtual private networks, or IP-VPN for short, and other data communications services in the Japanese market.
The two companies also plan to set up a joint venture in Japan by next fall to operate information systems linking clients' head offices with their domestic and overseas branches and factories, the report said.
