Spare Backup, Inc. Announces Strategic Organizational Changes

PALM DESERT, Calif., July 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Spare Backup, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: SPBU) announced today that it has instituted several strategic organizational changes to maintain its exponential growth.

Peter Dubler has been named Vice President of Innovation and Technology, Mr. Dubler will provide directional leadership for research and development, quality, and product management.

Mr. Dubler brings 26 years of industry experience to Spare Backup. He joined Hewlett-Packard in 1981. His various positions at Hewlett Packard included Technical Computer Sales Engineer, Workstation Systems Worldwide Technical Marketing, Support, Consulting, and Training Manager, Workstation Graphic Product Marketing Manager, and Open Migration Worldwide Program Manager. He was responsible for many innovative and successful global programs and products, including HP’s TradeUp programs and creation of the HP Visualize graphics product line and branding. In these roles, Mr. Dubler led large teams of technology professionals, spanning multiple continents, languages, and cultures resulting in turnarounds of multi-hundred million dollar product lines and programs.

Mr. Dubler serves on the board of a privately held software development company and is technical advisor to a privately held marine electronics company. He has provided technical and marketing consulting to many start-ups over the last fifteen years.

Mr. Dubler graduated with honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1981 where he was a member and president of the Phi Eta Sigma honorary society. He was an exchange scholar at the University of Heidelberg and Chairman of the World Student Fund at Georgia Tech. Mr. Dubler is also a recipient of the Presidential Award of Excellence for Environmental Service.

Spare Backup also announced that Alton Hoover, previously Vice President of Engineering at Spare Backup, has accepted the vital role of Vice President of Technical Operations where he will be responsible for all aspects of the ongoing build out and management of the infrastructure necessary to allow the seamless growth of the Company’s customer base.

Mr. Hoover served as a principal investigator for the National Science Foundation on the Internet Backbone and as a principal investigator on the Southeast University Research Association internet project (SURANET).
