RingCube Launches MojoPac Enterprise Suite Initiating New Era of Secure Distributed Computing

Posted on: Monday, 30 July 2007, 15:19 CDT

RingCube Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of the secure, managed digital workspace, today announced the launch of the MojoPac Enterprise Suite a unique, powerful new way for businesses to stop data leakage while providing employees with a secure, productive computing environment. Unveiled at the MojoPac Enterprise Web site at www.mojopac.com/enterprise , MojoPac Enterprise Suite enables IT managers to capture the vital business applications and settings employees need to be productive in a secure, centrally managed digital image that can be easily distributed to employees, offering a new paradigm for implementing secure distributed computing.

"Doing business on non-company-owned IT devices, at its simplest, means performing tasks and potentially storing information on a device that is neither controlled by the company nor confined to its boundaries," said John Girard, vice president and distinguished analyst for Gartner. "Enterprise IT planners have the opportunity to consider alternate scenarios that minimize risk, including managed virtual sessions where data and processes can be isolated."

To address this issue, MojoPac Enterprise Suite offers a unique approach for providing employees with a managed, corporate desktop that can be easily distributed and centrally controlled, eliminating most opportunities for endpoint data leakage. MojoPac also offers an effective way to reduce the cost and complexity related to supporting employee desktops.

"By separating the digital workspace from the physical computer hardware it runs on, MojoPac Enterprise Suite provides tremendous security and operational benefits," said Shan Appajodu, co-founder and CEO, RingCube Technologies. "Businesses can provide it to employee through a secure download, on a USB storage device or even through a secure network, and if their system breaks, they can simply use another Windows PC, reducing potential downtime. With MojoPac, we are introducing a new paradigm for provisioning and supporting desktops, whether they are onsite, or at a remote location."

MojoPac Enterprise Suite Solutions

The MojoPac Enterprise Suite includes three new product lines: the MojoStation Series, the MojoDrive Series and the MojoNet Series. While all three products encapsulate the digital workspace into an encrypted digital image, the solutions differ to meet the varying needs of distributed enterprises.

-- MojoStation Series allow IT managers to build a completely secure, optimized digital MojoPac image that employees can download from a secure corporate Web site to the employee's desktop. By clicking on the image, workers can transform their home or personal Windows PC into a secure, managed digital workspace, complete with support for all corporate security policies that may prohibit copying sensitive information to any storage device. MojoStation is completely encrypted and isolated from the host computer, which means all work and vital information remains secure. In the event an employee leaves, MojoStation can be disabled remotely, stopping former employees from accessing, sharing or corrupting proprietary information. As a result, is particularly well suited for the telecommuting or remote office workforce. -- MojoDrive Series offer a portable enterprise MojoPac that business IT staff build and load onto a USB storage device. Once the user clicks on the MojoDrive image on the drive, workers can transform any Windows PC into a secure, managed digital workspace, complete with support for all corporate security policies that may prohibit copying sensitive information to any storage device out of MojoPac. As with all MojoPac Enterprise Suite products, MojoDrive is fully encrypted and keeps all information and applications separate from the host computer. In the event that employees leave the company or their status and access privileges change, IT managers can quickly and easily terminate access to MojoDrive or implement any changes remotely. As a result, MojoDrive is particularly useful for campus roaming workers, employees who take work home with them and even road warriors who travel extensively. -- MojoNet Series combine the best from networked desktops with the power of individual Windows PCs. With MojoNet, enterprise IT managers configure a secure MojoPac image that is provided to employees through a secure corporate network. When the employee connects to the network and clicks on the MojoNet image, the complete digital workspace is downloaded to their desktop to convert any Windows PC into a secure corporate desktop. As long as MojoNet is open, it uses the processing power, network connections and approved peripherals on the host PC. When the employee closes MojoNet, the entire digital workspace is synchronized with version stored in the corporate data center, then deleted from the host PC. MojoNet offers the manageability of server-based computing with the performance and deployment flexibility of a PC and even allows employees to work offline in the event of a failed network connection. MojoNet is ideal for any corporation with a large number of branch offices and a distributed workforce.
