AT&T to Provide Network Services for CTCA

AT&T has implemented advanced network services for Cancer Treatment Centers of America, a cancer treatment organization that specializes in complex and advanced-stage disease.

Cancer Treatment Centers of America's (CTCA) approach to cancer treatment fully integrates state-of-the-art medical care with scientifically supported complementary therapies such as nutrition, naturopathy, physical therapy and psychosocial counseling.

AT&T will supply network solutions to CTCA's Schaumburg and Zion locations, to protect the facilities' access and daily data transmissions from interruptions. AT&T's Optical Carrier 3 (OC3) Sonet Rings will provide a scalable interface capable of handling the network's diverse signals and the capacity for multiple user access from the two CTCA locations.

AT&T's Sonet technology will also support future infrastructure upgrades and enhancements by CTCA. It consolidates Ethernet, data, video and voice traffic onto a single transport that maximizes bandwidth. The ring's multiple-line architecture provides redundancy, protecting CTCA's network services from catastrophic fiber cuts, service interruptions and other security hazards.

"AT&T's reliable network solutions and our redundant design will allow us to operate more efficiently and confidently while maintaining a continuous flow of electronic medical information to the clinician."
