JS-Kit (www.js-kit.com), a leading provider of web services, added significant momentum to its growth as it made several key announcements today. Most important, the company has secured $1.2m in seed funding from The Entrepreneurs' Fund 3 which will propel JS-Kit's expansion through its next phase and into its A-round.
With iconic Internet successes such as CommerceOne and Sagent under its belt, TEF3's Managing Director, Jeff Webber, explained that he is "convinced that there is significant, untapped value in lightweight web services," adding "we share JS-Kit's vision and believe they have the technology and the right entrepreneurial team to become the clear market leader."
JS-Kit also announced today that Kim Miller, currently vice president of marketing for HP.com, will join its board of directors. Ms. Miller brings deep experience in e-commerce, marketing and internet strategy to the JS-Kit team. Before joining HP, Kim led site development, marketing and partnership strategies as vice president of internet strategy for Macys.com. She now serves alongside Frank Lesher, former General Counsel for Sony America and CEO and Chairman, Khris Loux.
Finally, behind each of these announcements lies the continuing success in the growth of the JS-Kit publisher base. In July, JS-Kit celebrated its 5,000th site registration. With entirely novel services currently under development and a series of large customer wins soon to be announced, JS-Kit's Khris Loux sees the pace accelerating. "All the pieces are coming together nicely. Our vision for easy and affordable web services is proving itself at a rate of 1,000 new sites per month. By combining the voice of our customers and the strength of our engineering team I wouldn't be surprised to see JS-Kit surpass 15,000 sites by the end of the year."
