Solid State Technology Wins National Azbee Award From the American Society of Business Press Editors (ASBPE)

Posted on: Thursday, 9 August 2007, 12:03 CDT

NASHUA, N.H., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Solid State Technology received a National "Azbee" Award of Excellence from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) at a special awards ceremony on August 2, 2007, at New York City's Roosevelt Hotel.

Solid State Technology was awarded a Bronze award in the "E-Newsletter - Breaking News" category for producing the 2006 ConFab e-Daily Report, the official e-Newsletter of The ConFab -- a first-of-its-kind, invitation-only, global business meeting for the semiconductor manufacturing industry, produced by Solid State Technology's parent company, PennWell Corporation.

"As the industry continues its transition toward integrating online and print content, this is a true testament that the SST editorial team is transitioning with it, said Christopher Platt, Publisher of Solid State Technology. "This recognition also documents that SST's editorial quality is award winning, whether it's online or in print."

The award-winning entry comprised two of the four daily e-Newsletter editions that covered The ConFab, including highlights from the conference keynotes, presentations, and panel discussions, as well as commentary garnered from exclusive interviews with the leading chipmakers and equipment suppliers in attendance. In all, the editors filed some two-dozen stories about the event. The four issues can be viewed online at: http://www.theconfab.com/.

As the only publication reporting news from the event, The ConFab e-Daily Report provided exclusive information to a daily readership of more than 54,000 leading semiconductor industry managers and professionals.
