Time Warner Telecom Delivers Multi-State IP VPN, Data and Voice Solutions to Lewis and Roca LLP

PHOENIX, Aug. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Time Warner Telecom Inc. , a leading provider of managed voice and data networking solutions for businesses, today announced the successful installation of a 7-site IP VPN, a 100 Mbps Ethernet connection and voice services to Lewis and Roca LLP of Phoenix. Lewis and Roca is a full service corporate law firm based in Phoenix serving local, regional and national clients from locations in Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada.
"We have more than five hundred employees in six locations where it is vital that they communicate with each other as well as have secure access to our data center," said Gary Peet, chief information officer of Lewis and Roca. "We were disappointed with our previous provider and after assessing alternative communications providers, selected Time Warner Telecom because we knew they could deliver what they promised, provide us good customer service and help us reduce our total communications expense. For the same dollars we were spending for T1s, we now have much more bandwidth and the capability to move more data."
Lewis and Roca also decided to fortify their infrastructure by deploying a remote business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) capability at a secure data center. Time Warner Telecom provided a 100 Mbps Ethernet connection to support this initiative. Now, in the event any single location experiences network downtime, all remaining locations will maintain unfettered access to the network or the data center. Additionally, the company also contracted with Time Warner Telecom to provide local and long distance voice services to five of its company locations.
