New Internet Show Lets Foodies Everywhere Interact With Premier Chefs
Posted on: Monday, 13 August 2007, 06:21 CDT
LAS VEGAS, Aug. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Thanks to a brand new interactive Internet show, folks will be able to send along questions for top chefs and other guests, and request information about restaurant recipes, other recipes, ingredients, techniques and equipment.
Called "Celebrity Chef Connection," it's hosted and produced by Barbara J. Nosek and Debbie Hall, long-time Las Vegans with extensive links to the dining, entertainment and broadcast industries, who have covered such high-profile chefs as Emeril Lagasse, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Guy Savoy, Daniel Boulud, Hubert Keller, Michael Mina and Todd English, among others.
Nosek says, "With its star-powered culinary lineup, Las Vegas is the pluperfect setting for this show. But, and this is even before our first broadcast, we're already receiving phenomenal feedback from all around the country and even other countries."
The centerpiece of each week's show will be a wide-ranging chat with a prominent chef. The spot may be filled with demos, recipes, secrets, biographical information, future plans, visuals of dishes and the restaurant, and answers to listeners' inquiries.
Other signature segments include "Stars at the Stove" with Las Vegas entertainers, "Noshing Like A Native" spotlighting off-Strip dining gems, "Tables Everywhere" featuring reports from major food cities, and "If You Have To Ask ..." where some of the nation's most outrageously priced culinary experiences are revealed.
The show will also bring the wine and dine set the buzz on food-related books, contests, and conventions, as well as inside information from the beer/wine/spirits realm, "all the news that's fit to eat," and of course "The Mailbag."
A preview of each week's lineup will be sent out in a free e-zine, available by emailing barbara@writesource.net or hallwayprod@yahoo.com and (important!) writing "CCC" in the subject line. "Also," Hall says, "showing their city and state in the message area would help us determine future coverage."
Debuting September 5, the show airs at 5 pm on Wednesdays and is then archived for on-demand listening/viewing. Access is through the Web site http://www.celebritychefconnection.com/, and also via iPods, RSS feeds, and at MySpace.com/CelebrityChefConnection.
