SOHO Computer Services and Benefit Control Methods Announce Generic Drug Substitution System

SOHO Computer Services and Benefit Control Methods announce on line generic drug substitution sign up with the state of Washington.
In conjunction with Benefit Control Methods and the state of Washington, SOHO Computer Services is continuing support for a successful program that allows on line sign up of physicians and other health care providers for a state-sponsored generic drug substitution program. The program, begun in 2003 by the state of Washington, was one of the first generic drug substitution programs in the country and has been widely duplicated by other states. Physicians can authorize, through the online process, the automatic substitution of generic for branded drugs without the necessity of a pharmacist calling a doctor's office. This streamlining saves time on both ends of the authorization process and the prescriptions get to the patients more quickly. Four years later, this kind of process is a best practice and the benefits are easy to see. The state of Washington was one of the first to capitalize on the potential of such a program."
