The prolonged hostage crisis, the long wait and uncertainty are wrenching the hearts of the families.
Reflecting their ordeal, a home-made video by a family member offers a video portfolio of one of the male hostages, Je Chang-hee.
Pictures and captions in both Korean and English chronicle his life from birth until the kidnapping by Taleban militant s on July 19.
With sorrowful music in the background, Je’s mother is seen tormented by news of the kidnapping as she sends the tearful message to her beloved son.
In the letter she says she is dying to see her son again and asked him to have strength and persevere until he is released.
This is the third such video that the families of the hostages have released since last week.
The clips have been posted on both local and international sites to draw attention to the kidnapping and gather support.
Another kind of video clip that’s spreading quickly on the Internet is “The Song to the Taleban.”
The song in English was produced by a doctor-slash-Buddhist music artist who wonders why people are trying to destroy one another.
The video is receiving a growing number of hits on video-sharing sites like Pandora TV and YouTube.
