WHEN I first noted that Prince William had signed up to the timewasting website Facebook under the name William Wales, royal aides dismissed it as an elaborate hoax. Now friends of the 25-year- old Prince tell me he has joined the networking site by bizarrely using the pseudonym of the comedian Bobby Davro.

Although his profile is restricted, Prince Harry’s girlfriend Chelsy Davy or Chels D as she is known on Facebook features on the list of ‘Bobby’s’ friends.

Among the Army officers, aristocrats and debs listed as chums are sisters Lady Mary and Lady Iona Douglas- Home, daughters of Coutts bank chairman the Earl of Home, and the Marquess of Reading’s 24- year-old daughter Lady Natasha Rufus Isaacs.

Others include leggy beauty Olivia Hunt an ex-girlfriend polo player Mark Tomlinson and Charlie Morshead, who was recently spotted on nightclub ‘duty’ with Kate Middleton.
