BOSTON, Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ — StratBridge announced today it has joined together with Shubert Ticketing to provide enhanced Web-based ticket analysis capabilities to Broadway and Off Broadway theaters. These capabilities will allow Shubert Ticketing clients to increase sales and better manage seasonal fluctuations in the marketplace. Combining Shubert Ticketing’s STAR System for ticket sales and StratBridge’s StratTix sales analysis system allows producers, presenters and marketers to better understand ticket sales trends and create effective promotions.

Shubert Ticketing is a division of Shubert Organization, a leading force in the American theater for over 100 years. Shubert owns or operates 19 Broadway and Off Broadway theaters, in addition to venues in Boston, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. Shubert Ticketing’s core software application, the innovative STAR System, is one of the industry’s leading tools for ticket sales, inventory management and reporting. Through its Telecharge.com consumer ticket sales service, Shubert Ticketing provides venue clients with the infrastructure to sell tickets online, by phone and at the box office.

“With eight performances a week and productions running for years, Broadway shows have to analyze an extraordinary amount of sales data,” said David Andrews, vice president of Shubert Ticketing. “Our clients needed to be able to display that information in a more meaningful, intuitive way. By integrating StratTix with the STAR System, venues now can see graphic interpretations of real-time information in easy-to-read charts, allowing them to act more quickly to increase sales and stabilize seasonal fluctuations.”

As the STAR System feeds ticket sales information into StratTix, the system delivers data in a graphical representation of the venue. This allows producers, presenters and marketing teams to gain a higher understanding of ticket sales, from “facility-level” down to “seat-level,” so they can:

   — see previously hidden ticket purchase patterns and trends for one performance, several performances or an entire run; — more easily track the impact on sales from marketing campaigns such as advertising, promotions and direct mail; — monitor the effects of price changes on sales both visually and quantitatively.

“Broadway shows have a unique ticketing challenge,” said Matt Marolda, StratBridge founder and CEO. “They have so many performances – as many as 400 a year – and need to make sure their sales average meets or exceeds profitable levels throughout the course of the year. Together, Shubert Ticketing and StratTix provide the details the shows need, in a format that makes sense, so they can better identify slower sales periods and slower moving seats and develop strong promotions to keep sales on the mark.”
