Marathon Technologies Partners With Direct Systems Support to Deliver Automated Availability Solutions to Manufacturing, Banking, Retail and Healthcare Industries

Marathon Technologies Corporation, the leading provider of automated, fault-tolerant class availability solutions for virtual and physical environments, announced today that it has signed a distribution agreement with Direct Systems Support, Inc. (DSS), a leading solution provider of IBM(R) hardware, software and services. Serving companies throughout the United States, the San Diego-based company will offer Marathon's everRun fault-tolerant class availability software in conjunction with its current set of IBM solutions to its small business to mid-size (SMB) customer base. Expanding its world-class solution set with Marathon's everRun solution, enables DSS to further protect its customers' critical operating systems against application downtime and network disruptions, as well as prevent potential data and application loss which can cost companies millions of dollars.

The agreement comes at time when many DSS customers have expressed interest in implementing a high availability solution to protect their data networks and applications. The alliance will enable DSS customers, primarily in the entertainment, public utilities, retail, banking and healthcare industries, protect their critical applications through any faults, failures and disasters.
