Ellacoya Networks and CommVerge Solutions Deploy Traffic and Application Management System for Innove Communications

Ellacoya Networks™, a leading provider of carrier-class broadband service optimization solutions, together with CommVerge Solutions, a leading integrator of technology and business solutions in Asia, today announced the successful implementation of a traffic and application management system based on Ellacoya technology to support the network of Innove Communications, a leading integrated communications provider in the Philippines.

The Ellacoya solution, deployed by CommVerge Solutions, gives Innove Communications precise visibility into the traffic on its network and the ability to manage that traffic on a per-subscriber and per-application basis. It will be used to effectively monitor and manage quality on the network as well as to provide the basis for new revenue streams.

CommVerge Solutions has been reselling and supporting Ellacoya's broadband service optimization solutions as part of its best-in-class solutions for broadband providers since 2005. The companies have entered into a non-exclusive agreement under which CommVerge resells Ellacoya's solutions to broadband providers in Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand.

The Ellacoya solution, consisting of e30 and e100 network platforms and a rich suite of applications, is a carrier-class, fully redundant network system. It integrates seamlessly into the service provider's network infrastructure and OSS/BSS, and can scale to support the world's largest broadband networks.

The solution identifies traffic by application and subscriber; and then gives operators the tools to analyze the resulting data through the solution's powerful web-based reporting environment. The service provider can then take action to maximize network efficiency by setting policies that prioritize applications during peak and non-peak times, secure the network, and control bandwidth costs. The Ellacoya solution also provides a platform for introducing targeted service plans and packages for new offerings such as VoIP, on-line gaming, and movie downloads, so that providers can take advantage of new revenue opportunities.
