Integra Telecom, Inc. And Eschelon Telecom, Inc. Sponsor Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon
Integra Telecom, Inc. and Eschelon Telecom, Inc., (NASDAQ:ESCH) will jointly donate telecommunications services to the 42nd annual Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Telethon. The Telethon will take place Labor Day weekend, September 2 – 3, 2007 and will be broadcast on 190 stations across the nation.
As the official telecommunications sponsor for the MDA Telethon, Integra and Eschelon will donate approximately $75,000 in hardware and services including, telephones, local and long distance calling, and on-site technical support throughout the event. The companies have sponsored the MDA Telethon in six cities: Portland, Oregon; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Denver, Colorado; Salt Lake City, Utah; Phoenix, Arizona; and Seattle, Washington. Integra and Eschelon associates and family members have volunteered to staff the MDA Telethon phone banks for at least two hours in each of the six sponsored locations.

Integra announced on March 20, 2007, that it intends to acquire Eschelon Telecom, Inc. Upon finalizing the Eschelon acquisition, the combined companies will create the largest, most profitable competitive local exchange carrier in the Western United States.
