VBox, a leading provider of PC-PayTV solutions, and NDS, the leading provider of technology solutions for digital pay-TV, today announced that they are cooperating with Yes, the Israeli DBS operator, to provide a PC based reception solution for Yes’s pay TV subscription-based service in Israel.
Yes intends to provide VBox PC-TV receivers to its customers, allowing them to receive the full Yes offering of HD and SD channels, PPV and VOD on the PC platform.
The VBox receiver provides full DVR capabilities, enabling subscribers to time-shift and record content to their PC hard drive. “Supporting reception of premium high-definition content on the PC is a natural extension of NDS’s offerings for TV broadcasters,” said David Nabozny, Chief Sales Officer, NDS. “Together with VBox, we allow broadcasters to offer their high-quality content offering to PC users, providing a far-superior experience to Internet TV solutions.”
