Amedia Networks, Inc. (OTCBB: AANI), a provider of Ethernet switched optical networking (ESON) solutions, and LightRiver Technologies, a full-service telecommunications solutions provider of high-performance products and services, today announced that they have entered into an agreement in which LightRiver will distribute Amedia's QoStream(TM) FTTP Product Portfolio. LightRiver's customers include Telephone Companies, Municipalities, Utilities, Government Agencies and Cable TV Providers.
"Amedia's broadband access solution and ESON technology provide superior performance and capabilities. This combined with LightRiver's dedication to customer satisfaction will raise the bar on expectations and performance in this market," said Mike Jonas, LightRiver's Executive Vice President. "We are excited about this new partnership with Amedia, and look forward to offering the QoStream product family to our customers."
Under the agreement, LightRiver will perform marketing, sales, and key system integration functions to satisfy the growing demand for switched Ethernet based fiber access solutions.
Amedia will make available the QoStream AS5000 Ethernet Switch and the QoStream PG1000 Premises Gateway, as well as the QoStream Director Element Management System to LightRiver as these products become commercially available. These ESON-based products will allow each subscriber to receive up to 100 Mbps over a 90 km reach from a central office or head end. They will enable LightRiver to offer their customers a cost-effective, easily scalable, carrier-grade solution over which triple play services with associated Quality of Services guarantees can be deployed.
"We are excited to be working with LightRiver given their broad coverage and unique expertise in providing end to end optical solutions," stated Bill Zakowski, Amedia's VP of Business Development. "Amedia understands the importance of strategic partnerships with outstanding companies such as Lightriver. Together with LightRiver's market presence and solid customer base we see tremendous opportunity for QoStream."
