SUWANEE, Ga., Sept. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ARRIS today announced that WOW! Internet, Cable and Phone has selected the award-winning ARRIS C4 CMTS to provide primary-line voice and High Speed Data service to subscribers in its regional systems in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
WOW! is also an ARRIS Touchstone(R) Embedded Multimedia Terminal Adapter (E-MTA) customer and has been using Touchstone E-MTAs to provide voice service since it began offering Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). It selected the ARRIS C4 CMTS platform for a number of reasons, including its flexible management of upstream and downstream carriers and industry-leading density, reliability and availability.

Vice President of Engineering. "Additionally, the C4's load balancing ability to manage the end-user's quality of experience is critical as we continue to add ways to provide the best possible triple play broadband service available."
"The ARRIS C4 CMTS is extremely flexible in its architecture to offer these types of capabilities to our customers," noted ARRIS VP and GM, Network Technologies Dan Hickey. "Being able to provide features that ensure the quality of WOW!'s end-users' experience is a key component to help drive their business.
