NTRU Cryptosystems Inc., leading providers of trusted computing solutions, and Softex Inc. announced today they are partnering to provide secure data management capabilities via the Softex Omnipass Product Suite and NTRU’s Core TCG Software Stack (CTSS™). The two systems comply with the most recent Trusted Computing 1.2 open standards and are seamlessly integrated with supported OEM Trusted Platform Modules (TPM). The strategic alliance between these two companies represents a robust and secure strategy for non-stop data management across a wide range of supported platforms including Microsoft® Windows XP, Microsoft® Vista and Linux operating systems.

The CTSS™ module is currently bundled with multiple processing chips and can therefore be integrated with an assortment of OEM manufacturers, as their customers dictate application and trusted computing security requirements. The flexible combination enables both desktop and laptop users to communicate effortlessly with the Omnipass application from whatever system they select, while securely safeguarding their identities as they access web content and email information. Paired with the adaptable CTSS™ stack and Omnipass software, hardware manufacturers that support a TPM module can now offer a broader selection of security safeguards and trusted computing techniques not previously available to their customers at the enterprise level. The CTSS “safe” enables flexible data management with the Omnipass application because it sits within the processing chip of multiple OEM computing systems and is not limited to a single OEM resource.

“The CTSS™ module is fundamental to emerging security trends,” stated Ari Singer, Director of Products and Services, Trusted Computing at NTRU. “Together the two software products enable IT managers to set new standards for enterprise security protocols. They are connecting to the Omnipass application with confidence – not only must users adhere to the embedded data management security protocols, but they are passing through strict authentication layers within the CTSS module as well. Our product is created by industry-leading experts recognized for their cryptographic talent and we are committed to meeting the future of IT security standards.”

“We recognize the importance of Trusted Computing….By working with the NTRU solution, we are able to reach a larger number of platforms and interoperate across the broadest array of TPMs and operating systems in the industry. Enterprises can now acquire a single solution from Softex and NTRU that works across a mixed environment with platforms from multiple PC OEMs and TPMs from various sources” said Gregg Philipson, vice president — sales for Softex Inc.
